Course description

It is often said that Jesus spoke more about money than almost any other topic. And while He did speak about wealth and possessions, Jesus’ teachings were never merely about economics. It was always about the heart and the greater reality of God’s Kingdom.

This course sheds light on what it means to bring that Kingdom into the marketplace. With insights from Scripture and powerful scenes from The Chosen, we reflect on how Christ’s presence within us transforms the way we lead, trade, create, and serve.

When we lead with the light of Christ, profit and prosperity are never the end goal. They are new tools: blessed means bringing light into an unjust world, fostering growth in the lives of those entrusted to our care, and creating new possibilities through our products, expertise, and networks. All of these come to stand in a new light. And in this way, our business, and our businesses, become a stage for Kingdom transformation.

“Get used to different.” With these words to Simon Peter in The Chosen, Jesus turned expectations upside down by calling Matthew the tax collector as his follower. The line became one of the most memorable from The Chosen and even a tagline for the series. This course makes doing things differently practical: how to do business with integrity, vision, and Christ at the center. Get ready for business as unusual. The Kingdom is within you.
